WHAT ABOUT 2016?

What about 2016?

There have been many predictions from a lot of people concerning many things but just mark my words: let your heart be at peace, for 2016 is a year of your receiving much more.

What I see in my heart is a bumper harvest. Let your heart be at peace. You may see a lot of apparently discouraging things, even before this year turns over, but I am assuring you because we have inside information that we will not be swallowed up in the year 2016. Rather, we will swallow up the year.

The story of the Red Sea keeps coming to my heart: that Red Sea before them was a problem to the children of Israel and at the same time the army of Pharaoh advancing from behind was a problem to the children of Israel. What happened? God divided one so that the children of Israel could pass through and then the problem that God divided swallowed up the other problem.

This is what is in my heart in 2016. Those problems that keep disturbing you; those seemingly monumental problems will just divide and you will walk through them and then these bigger problems will swallow up other smaller problems! Watch and see, you will witness one of these problems destroying the others.

The Lord told us during our most recent prayer cruise that a rumour will be heard about us. I repeat, A rumour will be heard about you and like wild fire, it will go round the people around us.

You will not have to fabricate anything about yourself. God will cause men to hear something about you. God will cause men to hear a rumour about you. Listen to me: the rumour they hear may not necessarily be factual but God will cause them to hear it and believe it because that is how He sees you.

I declare to you that those apparently monumental problems will become ancient history in your life by the end of the first quarter of 2016.

By the time we are in the month of March, you will be saying, "I used to have that problem. I don't even remember what it feels like to have that problem."

Glory to God!

I keep hearing in my heart, "WHAT ABOUT 2016?"

Again, we will say as we said last year, it is a year of the Spirit because on Spirit wings He has taken you and you will sail through it. It is not going to be by your efforts, but by Him, you will just sail throughnd you will glide through and after you have passed you will look back and ask, I actually passed through those storms? Wow! I actually passed through all those things and they didn't hurt me?

YES.

Just as the Hebrew children and those around them wondered whether they had really been in the fire because not only did the fire have no power over them but even the smell could not be perceived on them. So you will pass through and none will even be able to perceive the problem on you. Glory to God! There is a Mighty Supply.

What are we going to say about 2016?

I see us like the children of Israel stepping into this year 2016 just with those words on our lips; the words keep coming from our mouths: "The Lord is good and His mercies endureth forever."

"As you enter into the year, the year opens up for you," says God.

"The year opens up for you and you completely take over with my mercy in your heart and with my mercy upon your lips."

I seen the year dividing into two for you and I see a complete take over. I see a great army marching; marching past January and when you look back nothing is seen because everything has been completely eaten up. I see them marching into February, marching into March, marching into April and marching into May in the same way. As they go, everything is being devoured and everything is being taken. What belongs to them they take for they can see what Christ has done for them. They can see the price He has paid so they grab and they don't let go of any. They don't let go anything and nothing seems to fall away from them.  Everything seems toffall towards them.

This is a great army with none breaking their ranks. Why? They are not breaking their ranks because their eyes are fixed upon Jesus; their eyes are fixed upon the price He has paid. Yes, they are not breaking their ranks be cause they are not trying to do it by themselves; they are simply taking.

Yes, they are the men of faith; they are the women of faith. They are the ones declaring and peaking the words of faith and the words of righteousness are upon their lips. They are unstoppable; they are unquenchable; their fire burns brighter and stronger; brighter and stronger! Their fire goes around every where consuming all in its path.

They are not unidirectional, they are multidirectional and you will see their fire going everywhere, taking every angle and consuming everything.

The world has fallen to them for they can see and can perceive that God has given these ones the world by the sacrifice of Jesus. It was said after many years of David being king that David perceived that God had made him king.

The church is coming to it and we have come to that finest hour. Like David perceived it we will begin to perceive that God has given us this land by the sacrifice of His Son Jesus and with that perception comes breakthrough.

What shall we say about 2016?

We are going to be lifting up our hands in thay year and praising Him in the way we have never praised Him before; rejoicing in the way we have never done before. We will have our eyes fixed on Jesus in the way we've never done before and we are going to declare the works of Jesus, the works of God, in the way we've never done before. Our eyes are going to fail us as we look to our own works so our eye should be fixed upon Him always.

What are we going to say about 2016?

For I see the workings of miracles! I see the workings of miracles in such magnitude that the church, the body of Christ has never really gotten into. I see the workings of miracles in every place all around the world. People are just getting born again and they are immediately moving into the workings of miracles; staggering miracles; astonishing things happening zpthrough them; through us; through the church.

I see the world coming to a standstill; I see the world coming to their knees because of the workings of miracles in their lives by the church. Just as it happened in the life of Moses and there were such workings of miracles in the life of Moses that Pharaoh and Egypt came to their knees so it will be again, haha, so it will be again! Workings of miracles in the church; by the church; and the world coming to its knees.

What shall we say about 2016?

It is the year of the mighty money flow. We talk about the workings of miracles and I hear in my heart: it is a year that people will experience the flow of money because of the workings of miracles or via the workings of miracles. They will see money coming in torrents. I see people standing in awe; in 'fear' for the magnitude of money they are seeing, the money coming into their hands by the workings of miracles.

What are we going to say about 2016?

I see souls! I see the harvest of souls and I see the compassion of God welling up in our hearts for souls in the way it has not been in a while. I see the church taking this large amounts of moy coming into their hands and I see them putting it into souls; putting it into the harvest of souls. Keep putting it into the harvest of souls, for it is His will that all be saved and that all come to the knowledge of Him.

I see men with the anointing; with a unique anointing. I hear them; a unique anointing, going out into the streets and into the corners preaching! And the results show hundreds, thousands, giving their lives to Christ in an unconventional way! They may not even be called Evangelist; they may not even have a registered ministry, Hahaha! Yet I see the fire of God! It's as though theybare transparent and I can see through them. I see the fire of God burning in their hearts. I see that fire like a volcano; like lava forcing its way from their hearts through their mouths and as it comes out I see people running, running, running, running, giving their lives to Christ.

Established In Righteousness

Isaiah 54:14

In righteousness shall thou be established: thou shall be far from oppression; for thou shall not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

2 Corinthians 5:21

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 5:17

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

The Bible says that we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ.

Righteousness is to stand before God without any sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority.

Righteousness is a gift. Righteousness is a nature. A nature is a nature- who a person is inherently, not behaviour, what the person does outwardly. Righteousness is not right living; it is a nature that will eventually produce right living because of the inherent right in nature. A person doing right things does not automatically or necessarily make them a righteous person. It is nature that defines fruit; fruit does not define nature.

God gave us the gift of righteousness upon the platform of His love. He did this by the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, in order to make His gift to us legal. God is a just God, and He must have justice. He took His justice in punishing a man - Jesus for us. This justice ended up as righteousness, the gift, to us.

The gift of righteousness cost Jesus His life, but it has been given to us for free. Knowing that webdi not and cannot work for righteousness does not make thengift any less valuable. If anything, the fact that something so priceless is free makes it all the more precious.

We cannot work for this righteousness. There is no amount of effort that can produce this nature or extend such a gift to us. This is why we must be established in righteousness. When you are established in this precious gift, you will begin to discover your true nature and you will begin to receive freely all that Jesus did for you. Do not try to work for money and things. Do not try to work for holiness and right living. Simply receive it. Listen, the way you received righteousness, by simply believing in Jesus, is the same way that you continue to live life in Him. You cannot maintain by your effort what you did not work to get. The works of righteousness are not numerous; it is simply to believe!

Come to understand that youbare standing before God without any sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority. Stop trying to get things from God using gimmicks. If your qualification before God is not based on what you have done or what you do but on what Jesus has done, why then do you feel like you are not good enough for things that God offers? And why do you feel like you have to convince God to give to you by your much giving and much praying? Is your receiving still sedbon God's free gift or your actions now?

It is God that does for us what He does for us. We do not make ourselves great, we cannot help God to make us great. In the same vein, we cannot undo His help to us and for us by our actions.

Righteousness is not defined by anything I can do or not do because it is not based on my standards. Be established in righteousness. Righteousness is all the work of God.

You Are Righteous!

Paul, in his time, spoke about the end time. He said that they were in the end time in those days! This means we have reached the very end of the end time! And because of the times in which we live, when many things are failing, ignorance is not an excuse. It is necessary to know and be convinced about certain things from the Word of God otherwise you will live and fall like a mere man when you ought to be living like the New Creation that you are.
2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation): old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”

You are not a mere man, because you have the life of God in you. The Greater One lives in you and you have ceased to be an ordinary person.

John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
1 John 4:4: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

You must be established in this otherwise you will get swept away with the fear that is going around in the world. You must not be ignorant or the devil and traditions and the law will thrive on your ignorance about what God has done for you. You are not a normal person. You are not an ordinary person! You will be in the midst of crisis and terrorist attacks and bombings and dangers and accidents, and you will walk out of them unhurt. You will be in the midst of dangerous diseases and viruses and you will be unhurt. The things that harm and kill normal people will come to you and you will still be standing, because “the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death.”

The presence of the Holy Ghost in you has made you a super-person! You are better than the superheroes you see on TV like Thor and the X-Men. What you have on the inside of you is far greater than what they have. The circumstance or danger doesn’t change what is inside you; it brings out what is inside you. Just like the warrior in Thor rises to the challenge, so we ought to let the power on the inside of us rise to the challenges around us. What if you are not exempted from the trouble when it comes? What if you are in the midst of it?

Psalm 20:1: “The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;”
The Lord will deliver you in the middle of the plane crash, or the bomb blast!

Psalm 91:1: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Psalm 91:7-8, 11: “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked…For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

The day of trouble reveals the character of your spirit and your soul. In the day of trouble, what is in your head will be of no effect but what is in your heart will answer to the situation.
We are raising champions here! God has made you a champion and you are manifesting what He has made you.
Give voice to the Christ in you!
When you come to the place of lack, and your knees are jittery, do not despair! Go back to the Word and let it soak into your consciousness until it bursts out of you and you kick the lack out! Assume the character of God’s Word until it begins to paint pictures in your heart and fear dissolves! God is your Refuge, your Provision and your Defender, He is your Protector! You have no reason to be afraid because you are not taking care of yourself. You are not your protector and your defender, God is! And you must let this become a conviction that settles in your heart. Come to know the principle of life that is at work in you. It eliminates death.

Romans 8:2: “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation): old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”

You are in Christ; your sins are forgiven; you are righteous. You are better than Superman!

Prosper By The Prophesying Of The Prophets

When God raises a prophet, or a company of prophets, whom he anoints to speak His word and declare His truths, the world as we know it is about to change. We are talking all-rounded change. Look through the times. Before Jesus came to earth, there were prophets who were anointed to see and to speak, and they did, and the world changed. When Jesus came, Himself, as a prophet, confirmed all that was spoken and when He was leaving, "He gave gifts unto men...apostles, prophets..."

The New Testament prophets have risen, and are still rising, to declare what God has done for humankind in the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. As they continue to proclaim the truth of the Gospel, rest assured, the world as you know it has changed. Why? The anointing. "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about DOING GOOD..."

The age of the helplessness and hopelessness is over, for the anointing of God's spirit is mighty upon us, and we are prospering by the prophesying of the prophets!

Honour the anointed. Honour your prophets and your pastors. Prophesy with them, and you will prosper greatly.

Your sins are forgiven; God loves you dearly!

Righteousness Consciousness

Reverend Arome E. Adah saw a vision some years ago. In that vision, he saw a huge terrifying and ugly mountain standing before a believer. That believer was quaking in fear, frightened of the mountain. And he said that the Lord spoke to him, that when believers become conscious of their righteousness, they would not need to do anything extra in their lives, but the mountains before them would be dealt with. He said he looked again, and as the believer began to be aware of his righteousness, without much ado, the mountain began to quake in fear, somewhat comical iin fashion, and it turned and fled from the believer.

My brother, my sister, the moment you begin to be conscious of your status as the righteousness of God in Christ, you'll begin to experience victory from the inside out in your life.

Remember, the take over is righteousness conscious. It is the ones that RECEIVE ABUNDANCE of GRACE and the GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS that reign in life.

Start reigning my friends! All your sins are forgiven. God loves you dearly!

Saturday 29 August 2015

Our Sins Are Forgiven.

The God of the Takeover is the spirit of forgiveness.

John 3:16 tells us that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone that believes would not perish or die, experience the misery and decay rampant in this world, but they would have eternal life.

God, in His mercy, bought us out of our sin and adopted us into His family by the sacrifice of Jesus. The sacrifice was an offering for sin. This way, God wouldn't have to simply cover our sin to keep Him from punishing us in anger. Now, God completely did away with sin. He has pardoned all and forgiven all. Knowing this and believing this, millions the world over have become God's children.

When we begin to spread the Good News that God has abundantly pardoned all sin and is offering New Life to all, men will begin to believe in this good God and the spirit of God will begin to manifest greatly in our lives and country. Our lives will begin to reflect the glory of God when we begin to believe that all our sins, past, present and future, have been forgiven.

God loves you dearly.

The Righteous Reign

Romans 5:17 tells us that through one man's disobedience, death reigned but those that receive abundance of grace and God's free gift of righteousness will reign as kings in life.

Reigning as a king in life is not dependent on what we do or what we do not do, it is dependent on who we are. And if you are born again, you are now the righteousness of God. Righteousness has become your nature. That righteousness is your nature means that nothing could ever make you unrighteous because nature cannot be reversed. A man will always be a man because he was born a man. Behaving like a woman or a beast will not serve to make him either of those things. So it is with righteous people.

Righteousness is the Blessing. Righteousness is God's own life and nature. When we became righteous because of the finished work of Jesus, we became just like God; equal with God.

Righteousness is the force that makes us winners in life. Sadly, many believers have been more self-conscious or works-conscious or devil-conscious than they have been righteousness conscious. But when we begin to be conscious and we stay conscious of this righteousness that we now are, we will begin to reign over the affairs of life.

God loves you dearly!

God's love for you is unconditional and without reason. Fueled by His mercy alone. His love for you has nothing to do with the fact that you're wrong or right. It has everything to do with the fact that God is simply good, and His default setting is love. He never deals with us according to our sins. He has made for us a covenant, sworn in blood and in love, that He'll never remember our sins and iniquities any more.

Tell me, how does someone punish what He doesn't remember? How do you think that God can visit the consequence of your sin upon you when He doesn't even remember them?

When the Bible mentions sin, we need to know what it is. Some of us have believed that indeed, our old sin nature has been taken away and our old (past) sins have been purged. But these ones that happen everyday nowadays, well, maybe God is taking account of those.

No! No!

It says in Romans 5:17 that if through one man's disobedience or sin (meaning lapse or error in judgment or wrong hearing), death (not just the physical but all its accomplices like misery and sadness etc) had the highest influence, much more, the ones that take God's gift (unearned, undeserved and un-worked-for) of righteousness (the state of equality with God), forgiveness and acquittal will be kings of life because of and through Jesus.

None of your efforts to try to manipulate the goodness of God is mentioned here. It is not needed.

Get this friend, God loves you, no matter what you have done, are doing or have planned to do. He has big plans for you that go beyond your imagination, and what's more, He knows you'll like his plans because He knows you inside out.

Receive His freedom and love today. God's love is the foundation of victory.

 God loves you dearly.

Get Into The Way of Grace!

Many believers, even "word of faith" believers, have been taken in by sin consciousness. This may seem incredible and untrue, but it is true.

Romans 4:1-8

It is evident from the above Scripture that our blessings in life stem from knowing and believing God's covenant of grace. This covenant was clearly spelt out in Hebrews 8:6-12. It was the undoing of an old and faulty covenant to establish an entirely new one. God Himself abolished the old covenant because it wasn't the best for any of the parties involved - divinity and humanity. Now He has made a new deal that states that our rightness with Him and our receiving from Him and our enjoyment of life should not be based on what we do or do not do, but on the sacrifice of Jesus.

Isaiah 53

In sending Jesus to die, God made a perfect way for us to enter in, whereby we could be welcome in His presence for all time and we could receive from Him whatever whenever, without having to think about our merit or performance status.

Sadly, many believers have been duped by religion and twisted thinking instigated by the devil. They have come to believe that the things they get from God have root in their "goodness". My brother, no one was ever good enough for the blessings of God. Now we have laid aside the world's way of hustling but picked up spiritual hustling.
We have begun to believe in some subconscious part of us that what we get from God are the rewards of "walking by faith", or spending hours praying in the Holy Ghost, or sowing some seed or for reading and meditating on God's word. No. None of these things in and of themselves could bring God's favour upon us if Jesus didn't die.

My friend, lose consciousness of yourself; your rights and your wrongs. Focus on the Way that God has gloriously mapped out for you. You cannot do enough to earn you His blessings. So also, you cannot do enough to separate you from His love.

Believe in the grace of God. Step into the Way - Jesus. In Him, you cannot err. Isaiah 35:8

God loves you passionately!

POWER OF WORDS

You need to know that your prosperity has been paid for. If God has said something concerning you, it is done. Your present physical situations may not look like it, but if God has said it, it is done. In His realm, it has been finished, and if you hold on to what He has said, it will manifest in your own realm too!

Many times, things begin to happen where we cannot see. If we give up too quickly, we will never see the deed in the physical.

There is the hope of the gospel, and this is that Jesus has paid the price for us. Therefore, with this picture, we can insist to see what Jesus has done for us with our words and we will see it.
Hebrews 10:35
Do not give up. Hold on to what Jesus has done and keep saying what God has said about you and you will see it. Keep saying the same thing that God has said about you.
Mark 11:22-24

You will have whatever you say. As long as you keep speaking contrary to the Finished Works of Jesus, you will continue to see the contrariness manifest in your life. "I never have money". "Walking by faith is so difficult". "I don't like all these church folks and church things." "I just don't understand the Bible". Statements like that spoken constantly will manifest in full in your life. The situation will not change as long as you keep talking about it.

You are a product of your words. You will have whatsoever you say. If you are saying nothing, you are bound to get nothing. Your life is a reflection of the words you are speaking.
Satan wants you in a place where you disbelieve God's promises for your life. He knows that you are victorious over him and he is defeated, and he wants you to doubt all this. He knows, but the question is, DO YOU? The devil knows that he is defeated when it comes to you; DO YOU? The devil knows that there is no condemnation to you; DO YOU? He knows that you are seated far above him; DO YOU?

Come to a realization of what God has done for you. Take authority and cause changes WITH YOUR WORDS. Do not let his seed of doubt remain in your mind. Squelch such thoughts with God's Word. The devil cannot win over you. Have a very good picture of the devil: He is defeated! Use your authority in Christ. Do not let things to run riot in your life anyhow. Refuse it...with your words.

Do not give your ears to the wrong voices in life. With words, you can be convinced of anything and persuaded to believe anything. The devil has words in his mouth; God has given us words in the Bible. Our hearts can be swayed by words. It is important to guard your heart and be sure that you are listening to the right words from the right sources and channels. Have a discerning heart and do not give your ear to every kind of person and just anything. Words have power.

Use good words and, more importantly, God's word to produce results in your life.

WORDS FROM PASTOR ADAH...

Read these words carefully and repeatedly. Memorize them if need be. They are life and spirit to they which receive them...

 * Never approach life with a “victim” mindset. Live instead from the mountaintop; that’s where you belong!
* Get winning into your heart and your mind. There is something about winning. Always choose to win, first of all and especially, on the inside.
* You need Christ-esteem to live a balanced life.
* Learn to THINK LIKE GOD!
* Change the way you think by changing the way you talk!
* Persuade yourself back into your confidence in God; speak God’s Words as your words.
* Never let things define you.
* Being more like Jesus is not an act of willpower. It comes by spending time in God’s presence –listening to God’s Word and praying in the Holy Ghost.
* Spirit-directed activity is not always a witness in your heart. The Word of God is Spirit-directed, and so it is the first point of Spirit-directed action.
* ADJUST YOUR MOUTH AND REARRANGE YOUR INNER PICTURES TO FIT WITH WHAT JESUS HAS DONE FOR YOU!
* Let your hopes (desires and dreams) be founded upon the New Testament.
* Mediation in the Word of God turns wishes into hopes and makes them into desires too real to be untrue.
* Your faith must be in God who forgives sins. Believe Him, not men and not things.
* Remember this: You are the one in control, not your situations!
* Do not let un-godly ideals, scoured from everywhere but the Word of God, keep the light of God’s Word from shining and showing forth in your life.
* It is not what you own that makes you; it is what you see inside your heart that makes you.
* If the Gospel is true, then we do not have a problem. And the Gospel IS true, so we do not have a problem!
* Never lose the innocence of faith. Never let the anointing become a common thing in your eyes.
* EAT THE FLESH, DRINK THE BLOOD, AND LET THE MONEY FLOW!
* God loves you dearly.

CAN A BELIEVER LOSE HIS SALVATION?

This is the priceless question that plagues many a believer the world over. Is it possible for me to lose my born again experience? Is there something that I could do, consciously, sub-consciously or unconsciously, that will make God revoke my redemption rights and privileges? Will I ever get to a place where something will happen that will take away all chances of me going to heaven? This question has bugged the hearts and minds of many Christians today.

The grace of God is not a recent development. It is the Person of Jesus Christ (John 1:14, 17). The grace of God is the unmerited favour of God which He shows to mankind and all those who believe in Him get to enjoy it at its fullest. The grace and the love of God are the agents that do the saving work in the heart of the man who believes Him, hence the expression “saving grace”. The core of God’s grace lies in the forgiveness of sins. This is a wholesome package that is specially made to transform the entire life of anyone who believes. You will notice that I have been using the word “believe” not “do”. This is because God’s grace can only be received on the platform of faith, that place where you come only trusting in what Jesus has achieved for you in His death, burial and resurrection over 2,000 years ago.

The premise upon which we have a relationship with God is the forgiveness of our sins. He said that He would be merciful to our unrighteousness and He would put completely out of mind and memory our sins and lawless deeds (Hebrews 8:12). He said He would give us a new heart of flesh and take away the heart of stone that we used to sport (Ezekiel 36:26-27), and He would cause us to walk in His ways.

Please know this: salvation –getting born again- is not about changing your behaviour into some unrealistic picture of perfection that you think that God has in His mind somewhere. No. It has nothing to do with you or your behaviour; otherwise, you would be that perfect person you always dreamed about and not need Jesus. Salvation is about God and His nature that He gives to us out of the goodness of His heart; because He loves us. Salvation is about God and His love that brings us into a covenant relationship with Him, the kind of relationship He made man for from the beginning (Genesis 3:8). Salvation is God’s plan through and through, and has nothing to do with our actions once we believe. So, how is it possible for this good God who has promised to forgive all sin (and, indeed, who has told us that all is forgiven –past, present and future) and give us new life, the kind of life that cannot be corrupted or poisoned, how can He suddenly change His mind because of a fickle human action or atrocity? Is He that faithless? Or are have we turned away from the truth of the gospel and put our faith and our hope in what we can do for ourselves before God?

All of mankind has total forgiveness offered to it on a platter of precious blood. The one who accepts this offer, and believes that Jesus died for his sins, and was raised again for his justification (Romans 4:25) is called a believer. That one now has the very life that God has, and the righteousness of God is His. He is RIGHTEOUS (2 Corinthians 5:17, 21). His righteousness is a gift, and God does not plan to take this gift back (Romans 5:17).

Beloved, all your sins are forgiven and you are the righteousness of God. The core of your Christianity is the forgiveness of all your sins. If there is something you could do to lose your salvation, then it was not a complete salvation to begin with. Don’t let anything or anyone make you doubt your forgiveness; otherwise you will live always crippled in your faith and unable to enjoy a wholesome relationship with Jesus Christ.

No Condemnation

Romans 8:1-2 : There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 5:17 : For they which RECEIVE abundance of GRACE, and of the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign as kings in life by Christ Jesus.

Come to know and feel the beauty of this gift that God has freely given to you. Yes, you. It is true that He has forgiven you all your trespasses and sins. He has righted all your wrongs. He has pardoned you for all the rubbish you keep beating yourself up over; the ones you felt bad for and those you didn't feel bad about. God is not out to tell you the problem with you, He has gone all the way out to save you from the problems...and from yourself. As soon and as long as you have believed in Jesus, that He died for your sins and was raised on the third day for you to become God's friend and child, you're good. You are righteous. You are clean. You are in God's league.

Hold on to this freedom from guilt and condemnation. Don't let anyone take you back into that place! The moment you start feeling overwhelmed by feelings and thoughts of insecurity, inferiority, shame, fear and doubt, know that you have been listening to the wrong words. Keep your ears open for the sound of love; He speaks everyday through His Word. Don't let anyone keep pushing your wrong and your shortcomings into your face. Refuse it! Hold on to God's grace as though your life depends on it- because it does! Allow the "feelings" of His love and forgiveness wash over you every day; enjoy that lightness in your heart and do not collect any more burdens of guilt. This way, you will always have the upper hand in life for you will never have to approach problems on the platform of what you can or cannot do but on what Jesus has done!
God loves you dearly.

Be free!

OUT OF CONDEMNATION 1

If you are struggling with dos and don’ts in your mind, you do not believe righteousness, you are simply trying to do righteousness, and that is works. Whatever affects your believing and your receiving affects your life, not necessarily what you do.  The things we do stem from what we believe. Wrong beliefs change everything, even with right actions. Many Christians, by default, think they are right when they do right and think they are wrong when they do wrong. Consequently, they lose all boldness of faith and consciousness of mercy when they do wrong. And many times, some of their greatest miracles come forth out of their greatest “wrongs”. Why does this seem so? It is easier for a “sinner” to receive mercy from God than it is for someone who is doing right, justified by his own works in his own eyes. If your greatest faith projection is to stop your wrongs, you are in a terrible place because you will stop doing wrong things but you will remain stagnant all your life because you have reached the zenith of your faith.

Isa 53:5-6: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Acts 13:38: Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Rom 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The New Testament does not show us any indication of God stopping the propensity of sin in us by the sacrifice of Jesus. If He did, the devil would be rendered useless to us, being unable to tempt us. Jesus did not die to take away our desire for sin in the flesh. God cannot sin, and He cannot be tempted by sin. He is in a place where He cannot be affected by sin, and we shall get to that place as well. But right now, we are perfect and complete IN CHRIST, not in our actions. So, do yourself a favour by getting the idea of perfection out of your mind. Stop being action conscious and become conscious of what the Lamb died for. When you become conscious of what Jesus has done, the power of sin will be broken over you. When the Israelites were being bitten by the fiery serpents in the wilderness and they cried out, God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it up in order for them to look at it and live. The idea behind the bronze serpent was not to stop the pain, neither was it to kill the fiery serpents and it was not to stop the serpents from biting them either. It was to cause them to live. The same applies to us today, for life is more important than the pain. The life that issues out of the bronze serpent (Jesus) is more important than the pain, the snake and the effect of the snake bite. This life neutralizes it all, and makes it as though the snakes did not even exist at all. The snake for us today is the devil, and he has no power over us as long as he cannot kill us. The power of Satan is death, and once the fear of death is broken over you, you lose all consciousness of sin.  With sin, do not hide. Stop struggling and stop hiding. Hiding is of the fallen nature of Adam. The grace of God cannot be received except in the light. Do not hide, and do not leave home (i.e. do not venture out to sin with unbelievers). Whatever you do, stay with the brethren. You are always safer within the confines of your covenant. Right there, in that place of light and honesty, you will receive mercy.

The Local Church

People who make impact here on earth are those that think of the other side. -C. S. Lewis

Success in God's eyes is you progressively accomplishing what God has called you to do in life. Many times, Christians get confused and say they don't know what God would have them do. They seem to be grasping for some divine purpose to life, and they get involved in nothing at all or all the wrong things due to this. We must realise, however, that being part of the vision of your local church is doing what God has called you to do. Success is not just an isolated event that happens to us individually. As believers, whatever we may be involved in must contribute to and not take awsy from the local church otherwise, it is not qualified as success in God's eyes.

A believer who is part of a church (as all believers should be) and is not involved with or faithful to the vision of the church will probably not hear a new "vision" for his or her life. God's plans for each and every one of our lives will be carried out through the local church. The local church is more important than we realise or even care to admit. The local church is the Body of Christ and no e heavenly-minded; don't live life on earth detrimental to your call as a Christian. Simply obey God and you will see things work for you by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Ghost. ione can be faithful to their call without being faithful to and in the church. If you do not seem to be seeing any visions or hearing any voices telling you what to do in life, relax. Keep calm and be part of your local church. Serve in the church with your gifts, talents and abilities. Working for your church should make you glad, not ashamed. The local church is God's takeover plan; it is not our second agenda!

The local church is headed by the pastor, who is the shepherd. The members are the sheep. Shepherd do not beget sheep. Sheep beget sheep. So, your church is your responsibility, much more than it is your pastor's responsibity. Embrace the vision of your church as a personal vision. Find ways to express it. Make sure that the vision blooms and grows in your hand. Do not live life only seeking personal attainments. Live heavenly-minded; not vicariously to the detriment of your call as a Christian. Simply obey God and trust Him to make things work by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Ghost.

The Righteousness of Faith

Paul, in his time, spoke about the end time. He said that they were in the end time in those days! This means we have reached the very end of the end time! And because of the times in which we live, when many things are failing, ignorance is not an excuse. It is necessary to know and be convinced about certain things from the Word of God otherwise you will live and fall like a mere man when you ought to be living like the New Creation that you are. 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation): old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” You are not a mere man, because you have the life of God in you. The Greater One lives in you and you have ceased to be an ordinary person. John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” 1 John 4:4: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” You must be established in this otherwise you will get swept away with the fear that is going around in the world. The things that harm and kill normal people will come to you and you will still be standing, because “the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death.” The presence of the Holy Ghost in you has made you a super-person! You are better than the superheroes you see on TV like Thor and the X-Men. What you have in the inside of you is far greater than what they have. The circumstance or danger doesn’t change what is inside you; it brings out what is inside you. Just like the warrior in Thor rises to the challenge, so we ought to let the power on the inside of us rise to the challenge around us. What if you are not exempted from the trouble when it comes? What if you are in the midst of it? Psalm 20:1: “The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;” The Lord will deliver you in the middle of the plane crash, or the bomb blast! Psalm 91:1: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:7-8, 11: “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked…For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” The day of trouble reveals the character of your spirit and your soul. Romans 8:2: “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation): old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” You are in Christ; your sins are forgiven; you are righteous. You are better than Superman!

USHERING & DECOR UNIT DAY CELEBRATION

Ushering and Decoration Unit merged to hold their Unit Day celebration today. This marked the kick-off of Unit Day celebrations in SGC Makurdi for the year 2015. The Unit Heads planned quite a beautiful service, having all their members arrayed in black with red accessories. The atmosphere was beautiful, filled with laughter, peace and fun (Psalm 16:11). There were testimonies from different church members as well from a Moslem who had been invited to church by one of our own. It was truly a celebration of God's goodness.

The Ushering Unit Head, Momoh Ojoma, in a charge, left us with these truths. They are bound to change your life if you put them in your heart and in your mouth:
* We are righteous not by our actions, good or bad, but by the eternal sacrifice of Jesus.
* Righteous = CLEAN. The devil has nothing on us because we have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
* We do not have covered sins. Our sins, past, present and future, have been forgiven. Jesus requires no payment of us, we are forever pardoned.
* We are righteous; every promise in the Old and New Testament can be appropriated by us because we have believed in Jesus, who has fulfilled all requirements for us.
* As righteous people, we have hope in death. We are favoured, our prayers are effective and our words have impact on this world and its inhabitants.

Righteous people celebrated the goodness of God today at Savannah Grace Chapel Makurdi. We will do it again...and again...and again...until our last breath.

The Sacrifice of Jesus: We Are Successful

The world’s way of defining success differs from God’s way of defining success, for if God calls you successful, you are successful, irrespective of what everyone else thinks. In Genesis 39:2, the Bible calls Joseph a successful man. At this time, Joseph was a slave being sold in the Egyptian market. Joseph was a slave, not a household servant. Slaves were the least of the least on the food chain and they were sold worse than animals. Slaves had no sense of identity or dignity. Slaves had no rights. In this state, God called Joseph a successful man.

Genesis 39:1-2: “And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hand of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither. And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous [successful] man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”

This means the definition of success is God with you. Many times, the problem is that you hear God’s Word preached to you and prophetic words come to you, and then you begin to assess the words you hear by your present status. But whatever your status, God calls you successful. You have an identity, and God is your helper.

Romans 8:31: “What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Now the question is “If God be for us…” so what we need to prove is whether or not God is with you. For if God is with you, no one can be against you. And you need to be sure that God is for you, without evidence from your senses or your emotions.

2 Corinthians 5:21: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Galatians 3:13-14: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

An exchange happened on the Cross of Calvary, according to 2 Corinthians 5:21. When Jesus hung on the Cross, something was happening. He was crucified in shame, stark naked, and He cried out, “Eli Eli, lama sabach thani?” “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” This was an exchange. It was possible for God to forsake Jesus in order to make it impossible for God to forsake you. In spiritual things, there must always be a balance. The Bible says “the soul that sins shall die”, but because of God’s love for us, there had to be an exchange on our behalf, hence Jesus’ coming to die.

In the Garden of Eden, when Adam sinned, God took an innocent animal and killed it. The animal did not sin, but God spilled the blood of the animal to spare Adam. God cursed the ground for Adam’s sin, He did not curse the man, because He had already blessed him and God cannot curse whom He has blessed. But Adam left the Garden in a spiritually fallen state, and there still needed to be a balance because of God’s love for us.

The story then continued in Genesis 12 where God made a promise to Abraham and then onto Genesis 15 where God made a covenant on behalf of Abraham. God cut this covenant for Abraham, not with him, because there is no record of Abraham swearing anything. The power of God came upon Abraham (Genesis 15:12-17), he fell into a trance, and he saw similitudes of God as a burning torch and a smoking furnace in a vision, walking in the valley of blood. God, walking in that valley of blood, began to swear for Abraham. This is why we say that the covenant of grace is the Abrahamic covenant fulfilled in Christ; because God made the covenant to Abraham and to his seed, not seeds, as referring to many, but seed as of one, and that seed is Christ. (Galatians 3:16). So whatever God told Abraham came to ultimate fulfilment in Jesus.

About a thousand plus years later, Jesus came on the scene. About 33 years later, they laid hold on Him in the Garden of Gethsemane where he had begun to drink the cup of the Father’s wrath. And the exchange began. He was arrested but He did not open His mouth to defend Himself. He was questioned but He did not answer (Isaiah 53:7). He went through all because the claims of justice had to be met. He was beaten, scourged, mocked and then nailed to the Cross. For three hours, while He was upon the Cross, darkness ruled on the earth. The Bible called it the hour of darkness. During this time, the powers of darkness reigned supreme such that the light of the sun was blotted out all over the earth. This was the only time that the powers of hell were let loose completely. They thought it was their moment because they had the Son of God crucified so they could manifest in their totality: sickness, death and curses. But in the same moment, while they were “reigning”, the sacrifice was absorbing the entire curse. Jesus became and took on the curse and the sin of all the earth in that moment (2 Corinthians 5:21). Everything that the Bible records as a curse in Deuteronomy 28 came upon the body of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:2). Every disease and consequence of sin manifested in His body; He paid the price in full (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5). He was properly punished for us so that we could have peace. But the story did not end in darkness.

3pm was the hour of prayer, referred to by the Jews as the hour of Intercession. The death of Jesus was the Great Intercession because it was done to withhold judgement on our behalf. At 3pm, Jesus Christ cried out and gave up the ghost. He yielded Himself up, He was not taken by death, to show that the sacrifice was the greater than the judgement. He took the entire punishment on Himself, He drank the cup of God’s judgement and fury to the last and there was still enough left to say “It is finished.” Jesus was saying that God’s anger and God’s judgement was exhausted in His sacrifice.

When He cried out and gave up the ghost, death began to be reversed, right from the Cross. Glory! There was a great earthquake, the earth was split, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom and the tombs were opened and the bodies of saints which slept were raised back to life and they entered into the city and appeared unto many after His resurrection (Matthew 27 & 28). Even the death of the Lord Jesus reversed death! (Hebrews 2:14-15). Now we are liberated and set free! He came and He paid the price in full.

However, when Jesus died on the Cross, the New Covenant was not yet enforced. He abolished the curse and paid our debt in full. The Cross brought us to a place where God was no longer angry with us and we owed Him nothing, but that was all the Cross did for us. It’s like having all your debts paid off but not having money anyway. So, that would make you a debt-free, broke individual. But, thank God, the story did not end there; He had taken away the first to establish the second. The Cross was the closure of the Old Covenant and the beginning of the New. Jesus Christ came down from that Cross and descended into hell (Hades), the place of departed spirits; He preached to them.

Hades/hell was a prison made up of three compartments: Abraham’s bosom, Gehannah, and Tartarus. Abraham’s bosom was the dwelling place for the saints of old from Adam till the thief that died beside Jesus (because no one could enter into heaven apart from the blood of Jesus). Gehannah was the place for those, from Adam to Jesus, who did not believe in Messiah who was to come. Tartarus was the place for the fallen angels who had left their first estate. So Jesus went and announced to the saints in Abraham’s bosom that He was the One they had seen and believed afore time and He was now come.
Jesus also went to Gehannah, to the ones who did not believe in the sacrifice. Notice that the problem was not that they did not keep the law; it was that they did not believe. There were both Jews and non-Jews in Gehannah. Some of these people lived before the advent of the law, and yet others lived even outside of the law, like Job, Abraham (for he was a worshipper of the moon before God found him) and Balaam (Numbers 23). They all saw the Messiah in a type and a shadow, and they believed in Him. God used whatever men had and were interested in to show them the gospel, because He used the story of the stars (the zodiac as it is known today) to preach to Abraham, and Abraham believed the gospel. Many have asked if non-Jews ever made it to heaven before the coming of Jesus and before the gospel went round the world. I believe that some did, God using the things in their lives and their cultures to reveal Himself to them. God spoke to them in different ways, but now, God has spoken to us by His Son (Hebrews 1:1-2).

After He made the announcements to the prisoners, He was raised from the dead on the third day. On Sunday morning, the stone was rolled away. Mary came to the tomb to anoint His body –to complete the process of embalmment that was not finished on Friday and could not be completed on Saturday because it was the Sabbath. No one was allowed to work on the Sabbath and this was God’s idea because Jesus was going to be raised from the dead while men were resting. Early that Sunday morning, the stone was rolled away, not by man, not even by Himself, but by an angel. The cocoon in which He had been embalmed had solidified; the Spirit that raised Him from the dead came upon His body and I believe that He filtered out of that cocoon, the Spirit having put His broken body back together in perfect form.  And while He was about to depart, Mary came in. Mistaking Him for the groundskeeper, she asked for her lord. Then He called her by her name and she recognised Him immediately. She ran to Him to embrace Him, but He forbade her to touch Him because He had not yet ascended to the Father with His blood. Jesus was taking His blood into the heavenly Holy of Holies, and as shown in the law, when the high priest is entering into the Holy of Holies with blood, no one is allowed to touch Him. The Bible tells us in the book of Hebrews that He entered into the heavenly Holy of Holies, and with the Father and the Holy Ghost, sprinkled His blood upon the altar and the mercy seat and upon the law, and swore a covenant on behalf of man. They took the oath, swearing in the blood of Jesus, and pronounced the blessing upon man because the price had been paid.

After Jesus had completed His high priestly duty and the covenant had been cut, He came back to earth and saw His disciples, even telling them to touch Him (because His work was done). In the Old Testament, when the High Priest entered and exited the Holy of Holies, the anointing would come upon him and he would pronounce blessings upon the people that would last for one year. This was because the extent to which the sacrifices offered could last was just a year, and so they had to be offered daily. But Jesus Christ came out of the Most Holy Place with an eternal redemption, not a temporal one. He came back to earth, appeared to His disciples for 40 days and nights, and went back to heaven. Then in Acts 2, the disciples were gathered together in one place and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:1-4). The same language of the Spirit that God spoke when He swore by the blood of Jesus in the heavenly shrine –the Most Holy Place- was deposited in your spirit and God has asked you to use it to conquer your world. For the Bible says He that speaks in an unknown tongue is not speaking to man but to God (1 Corinthians 14:2), so you are speaking to God and not to men when you are speaking in tongues.
Jesus was forsaken; He took His blood into heaven and obtained eternal redemption for us so that you would never be forsaken. It is not a feeling, it is a blood-sworn oath, that God will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5-6). There is nothing to fear.

This is the proof of Romans 8:31. It is no longer a question of whether God is for us. Now we know that God has sworn an everlasting oath in the blood of Jesus that He will never ever leave you nor forsake you so that you may boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; He is always for you. This is why we can shout and declare that there is a mighty supply and these are great days, and the Lord is our Helper! We have lost all confidence in the flesh, in our looks, in self, in our abilities and talents, in our background and we have put all confidence in God because we know that God is for us and we are successful.
